Almost every top local chef sources meat from Oulton's near Windsor, Nova Scotia. Mike Oulton has been raising and selling meat for decades, including beef and chickens as well as specialities such as rabbit, boar, pheasant, and ostrich. This is the source of our double smoked bacon to complete your breakfast experience

Roastery 46

Espresso 46 is a humble espresso bar/coffee shop started by Italian transplant Federico, in the heart of Halifax’s North End. Federico started serving superior Italian style espresso from a window out of its current warehouse location and has recently expanded to include a quaint indoor seating area with indoor accessible serving for the colder months.

Boulangerie La Vendeenne

This famed local French bakery is certified organic. The modern stone oven used at Boulangerie La Vendeenne is from Quebec, with the bread baked directly on a large stone. French bread typically has a well-defined crust, a chewy texture, and is a pleasure to eat. Along with a wide variety of fresh yeast breads such as baguettes, multi-grain, and a sweet apricot and almond bread, the bakery produces a popular sourdough bread. You may purchase this lovely bread delivered a couple of times per week at the cafe along with fresh croissant and pain au chocolate. Special orders welcomed.

LaHave Bakery

This south-shore-famous bakery uses locally grown, fresh-milled grains for their traditional breads, rolls, cakes and cookies. A cool, slow rise gives their product excellent flavour and texture. Their selection of breads includes seed, potato, 12-grain and herb cheese. This is where we get our Potato, Whole Wheat, Orange Raisin breads. Worth a visit if you down that way !

Cavicchis Meats

Cavicchi’s Meats is owned and operated by Grant and Bev Cavicchi and was established fairly recently—when the family’s basement was turned into a provincially inspected and licensed plant in 2008. Grant has created unique and time-tested products by drawing on his experiences in the meat cutting industry, retail grocers, and alongside mentor meat cutters from Italy and Hungary.
